2004-07-30 - 12:34 p.m. well. yesterday was eventful. i got up early and made a ton of pancakes, which everyone thoroughly enjoyed. then we went to the beach. gaff and i went in the ocean and britt and pedro just sat there. pedro has his arm in a splint so he couldn't go in the water, and britt just sucks. he was wearing chucks, jeans and a t shirt. it was funny. so anyway, we went in the water, and there was this huge sandbar. we never got more than waist deep, and the lifeguards made us come back because we were so far back. so then we got out and we all lay in the sun for a while. then we went home, got showers, and decided to go to Peace a Pizza. we were the only people there and there are so many hot guys working there!! it was fun. they were playing weezer's blue album. it brought back memories. then we went home, and britt and gaff went kayaking. pedro went online and i sat out on the deck and listened to incubus. that was nice. then they came back, and we started making dinner. gaff sent me and britt to the bakery to get bread and a cake. we got this awesome bread at isabel's. we got baguette there the day before, and we got brie and the Mouse Trap. then we got a german chocolate cake at the avalon supermarket. we went home and started cooking we had to look some stuff up. we had chicken and corn on the cob. we tried to grill it all, but some stuff was undercooked. anyway, we tried.after dinner (which left a huge mess) we made some drinks. we got some lemonade at wawa because gin and lemonade is really good. tequila and lemonade is pretty good too. i had those, plus a straight shot of tequila. i had shots of gin and 151 (which did not make me feel sick at all) the night before. then we broke out the jello shots, and no one else really wanted any. all in all i had 2 shots of gin, 5 of tequila, and 7 of vodka. and i was hardly drunk. which is bizarre. i had eaten, but not that much. so anyway, after dinner we burned some insense on the deck, and listened to Nirvana. then we got bored and went inside and watched Fame. Good movie. after that we were just wandering around. it was after 1 am. gaff wanted to go to wawa, but he couldnt find his wallet. so we combed the house looking for it. as he went out to the car to look, i found it in the garage, he had left it there when he turned the outside lights out. so i went outside to tell him, and he said that there had been a prowler! there was this huge dent in the gravel where he had taken off, and he saw him run away. we went inside and told britt and, and pedro backed him up by saying he had been on the deck and heard someone on the gravel. then i heard footsteps that sounded like they were upstairs. i made everyone move around where they were to make sure no one had made the sound i heard. then we all wigged out. we grabbed weapons. gaff had a hammer, i had a fire extinguisher, and we searched the house from top to bottom. we locked all the doors. we didnt find anything. but we decided to call the cops to tell them that there had been a prowler. they said they'd send somebody out. then we were all sitting scared in the 3rd floor bedroom, and i asked if all the windows were locked. gaff said he thought so, but he'd check. we went to his bedroom on the first floor, and saw a flashlight in the backyard- it was the cops. they were there in like 3 minutes. it was impressive. the cops saw us through the window, and we opened it and talked to them. they were very helpful. then gaff saud that the window was unlocked, and that he was sure it hadn't been before. that was a little scary. so we all went back upstairs. we were all gonna sleep in the big bed together, but gaff and i wanted to stay up instead. so we did, and we went to the living room. we sat around and tried not to be paranoid, but it didnt really work. so we just started poking through britt's mom's magazines. then i started doing a crossword puzzle, and gaff got the idea to go to wawa and get the paper and some donuts. so he did. then we played waterworks, which is a cool game. then gaff went to sleep, it was 5 am and i was bouncing off the walls from having several glasses of mountain dew code red. then i saw that the sun was starting to rise, so i went to the beach. it was still dark when i got there, and i just started walking around. i picked up some shells, and i sat in the lifeguard's chair for a while. it was really beautiful and serene. when the sun finally rose, it was amazing. i took some pictures, but i'm sure i didn't do it justice. i walked around till about 6 45, then went home and passed out. i woke up at 11 30 this morning. pedro and britt were awake, and gaffney is still asleep. i wonder what adventures await today!
